Our Name
AN ORI is inspired by ideas shared across cultures. AN means inner peace in Vietnamese, a nod to our founder’s origins. ORI is a chosen word. In Hebrew, it means light. In Yoruba, it means head, often understood as inner consciousness or intuition. Together, they speak to inner light and inner guidance.
Our Founder
AN ORI was founded in New York by Thuy T. Nguyen, a creative director who trained as an artist at Bennington College and built her career creating images for fashion and beauty houses. Her work sits somewhere between commerce and art. AN ORI brings that same point of view to the herbal inhaler, made with the attention of something meant to be kept.
